Improving Lorraine Granado Park would be critical to supporting community hubs that are needed in our neighborhoods. In this corner of Swansea, where we are neighbors to the industrial companies, outdoor recreation opportunities are few and far between for residents.

This grant would help support the development of a steering committee- residents who have a direct interest in the park itself. While this part of Swansea is rarely activated in community conversations, I believe that we as residents here need investment in something that affects us. As a whole- this project would also be a great space to organize community-wide events, and potentially support green initiatives all neighborhoods could benefit from.
